Great value chair

Gender:Female

Bought this after seeing it a friend's house. We need it for the baby's room (gentle rocking makes it ideal) and it is very similar to ones on sale in Ikea, but could be ordered to collect at our local Asda Living.
As others have said, the instructions are somewhat lacking in detail and it took a while to work out how to put the cushions and covers on.
The covers are a bit thin, but nothing a couple of cushions behind your back won't solve.
For a basic nursing chair, it is ideal. It would be nice if it came in a darker colour, though (or anything other than cream, which will show up marks easily).

Nice Chair Shame About The Instructions

Once the chair was put together it looked just as it should, the only trouble was the time between opening the box & looking at the instructions and completion of putting the chair together was considerable & with a lot of head scratching. The picture instructions are not clear & there are no written instruction, but once you work out how it actually all goes together the end result is quite good & for £30-00 it does reflect good value for money.

Be careful

This product does seem to be good value - especially to those of us who are on a budget but BEWARE!
Within 6 weeks of normal use (and I am not overweight) the seat began to sag. Upon invesigation I was horrified to see that the seat was supported by thin plasic straps which were SELLOTAPED onto the frame! Needless to say it didn't take much to make the straps snap.
I know that this was an inexpensive chair but there is no excuse for such shoddy workmanship.

Got this chair for our living room for when we are using the pc and it fits the job perfectly - much better than an office chair as it is also comfortable to sit on and has a bit of bounce. Cheaper than the IKEA equivalent also.
Main downfall is the instructions - they advise on how to construct the chair but not on how the padding is supposed to fit to the frame. (the padding slides over the main frame and is attached with the screws holding the chair together). Quite fiddly to do but means the padding doesn't slide about as some other reviews mention.
Overall a great buy for the price!

Brilliant purchase

This is great chair because it is low enough for the sitter to put both feet fully on the floor whilst the chair can still fully support the entire legs. One can sit back fully into the chair without needing to lift the feet (very good even for short people at 5 foot tall). The chair was easy to assemble, and is very soft and comforfable.
We bought this chair because we had a HoMedics Shiatsu massager chair and had been looking for a chair for a while where this would fit snugly. We wish we had seen this relaxer chair earlier because we bought a high back executive office chair which just doesn't house the shiatsu massager nicely, being too high off the ground, two vertical, and just too small!

best nursing chair I found

I bought this chair to use for a nursing chair as I have just had a new baby. It is very comfortable and was quite easy to put together. I didnt need anybody to help which was great. I couldnt afford a really expensive chair but when I couldnt find a comfortable chair for our budget I did consider spending more. This chair was actually more comfy then the expensive ones and considering what I am using it for I am very happy that the cover is washable.

I agree with all previous reviews. One small note of interest. Mine was white. I have a black cat and four grandchildren so white is not really an option. I bought a packet of Dylon, just over £4, the type that you simply put in the machine and it washes and dyes. No salt or prewash. Result is two black covers, and the stitching, which is not cotton, stayed pure white. The contrast makes them look even better. My daughter is buying two after seeing mine. I intend to buy two more myself. Wonderful bargain.

I wanted a chair for nursing my new baby girl, but won't keep the chair after that, so this is perfect. It's very good value (compared to similar chairs from other retailers), is comfortable and looks good. It's not the best quality in the world (more padded seat would be better - I just use cushions), but fine for what I wanted (and they say you get what you pay for). Agree with the other reviews in that the instructions are not best ever but there aren't many steps and with a bit of thought you should be fine.

Bought this chair for my father's bedroom and he loves it, it a cross between a chair and a rocker as its very 'springy' , its very modern and stylish and looks great in the bedroom, also excellent value for money , would love one in brown for my living room.Only critism is the instructions are not clear cut but certainly not hard to assemble- to be honest i went by the picture on the box rather than the instructions in the end. It takes about 10 mins to figure out the instructions and about 5 minutes to assemble but an excellent buy - you won;t be dissapointed.

A surprisingly nice looking and comfortable chair given the price, my only gripe would be that the seating pad could possibly be made easier to slide over the base/backrest, it tends to catch a little, and you need long skinny arms to make it easier, having said that though the instructions were simple to follow with clear and understandable diagrams to help, and as said the chair is really comfortable, and feels even more sturdier than it looks. We're pleased with it and its very competitively priced, the online service from ASDA was also quite good.

A must have for small conservatory

Delighted with my four chairs, covers are soft to touch and comfortable. easy assembled and are light weight. They are perfect for my small conservatory, height of the back is excellent and supportive, very relaxing with a slight rocking motion which sent me off to sleep. A great affordable product which looks more expensive and would like to see a range of covers in patterns and other colours.

Useless instructions
:: 13/02/2012
The chair is great value and looks good. Bought for my daughter for her new baby's room and we hadn't expected the bounce in the chair, which makes sitting in it very pleasant.
The instructions for assembly are completely useless as there is a very basic drawing showing how to put the frame and cover together which just shows the frame and cover beside one another. No mention of fixing the two parts of the frame together. Also getting the frame into the cover is very difficult to get right. The instructions need a complete rewrite, for a non-engineer almost impossible to work out.

Excellent value for money and is very relaxing to use. Good light neutral colour so suits my decore. Only slight criticism is that the foam padding could be a little thicker.

Wanted a lightweight easy chair for when visitors come. This is fairly easy to assemble and dismantle if not needed when visitors have gone. Because of the design it does not appear to clutter up the living room and is very light. My only criticism would be that the padding could be thicker but the chair is comfy and fit for purpose.

Not too much to say, its a chair, its reasonably well made, it's comfortable.
I had trouble with the first one of these i had ad one of the nut's welded in the frame wasn't centred correctly so the bolt wouldn't go in. But this gave ASDA's customer services team a chance to show off, they arranged for the chair to be collected & replaced at no extra charge, all very quickly too, with little fuss.
All in all I'm impressed with the quality for the money and the chair looks good and is comfortable. We brought it to go in the nursery for night time feeds with the baby.

We bought this to use as a nursing chair when our little one arrives and has already had lots of use! very comfy. It would be nice if it came in a slightly darker fabric as the cream marks easily.
