I bought this Morphy Richards 44733 4 slot toaster for a house warming present for my daughter. It was what she had asked for, but I must admit I was a little dubious as reading peoples comments there seemed to be problems with it not toasting properly, catching fire and flimsyness of the controls.
However I am glad to report that none of these problems have occoured with this toaster. It is working perfectly and looks good on her kitchen work top.
She has 3 young sons and a busy husband and needed a toaster that was quick, browned properly and didn't take up tons of room in her kitchen. This fits the bill perfectly.

Not the fastest toaster I've ever had, but it toasts well and evenly. In a household where we forget to defrost the bread early enough the defrost function is a godsend.

we bought this toaster because it matched our black and stainless steel kitchen. while it is stunning, it isn't quite pure black, maybe more of a dark grey... but it is still gorgeous, and you can't really notice unless it is right next to something that's matt black.
the two seperate sides are really good if you're making toast for people who like their toast cooked in different ways as you can vary the heat on both sides. it's also good for buttering the toast as you can stagger the timings.
the only fault we really found with this toaster is that it does take a long time to toast. we were making do with a very basic value toaster before buying this, and it was actually quite a lot quicker than this!
but the toast is still toasty, and the reheat setting is clever especially for bagels and pop tarts.
would definitely recommend this toaster, as while it is quite expensive, it is beautiful and makes a lovely addition to a kitchen!
