Thought I would treat myself to a new kettle, toaster and microwave for my house move before Xmas. Chose Russell Hobbs for all. Never spent this much on a kettle before, so assumed it would be great, but alas, coffee, tea etc tastes terribly of plastic. Tried different tips from internet but the taste still comes back. Not impressed at all! Fed up of having horrible drinks. Might go back to the cheapie kettles from Asda.!

Although I followed the instructions to fill the kettle before use, boil then rinse, the water does seem to 'taste'. After several uses, this 'taste' has not depleted. Maybe I shall get used to the 'taste' eventually!

Just purchased this kettle and would expect the first few boils to produce a particular taste as the element, plastics bed in but after 2 weeks and 50 plus boils the taste of plastic etc is intolarable.
